Environmentally friendly. Clean. Safe.
Atkins’ patio cleaning team uses a variety of environmentally-friendly cleaners and lower pressure washing to bring brick, flagstone, cement, pavers, and stamped concrete patios, walkways, and walls back to life. That means that we won’t use just one method to clean every type of surface. Instead, we’ll create a custom cleaning process that works best for your home, your surfaces, and your lifestyle. Mildew, moss, mold, and algae are persistent problems in damp, shady yards and on properties in the greater Lancaster area. That’s why Atkins goes beyond patio and walkway cleaning. We offer a range of exterior cleaning and maintenance services that can help you keep every part of your patio, paths, walls, and walkways looking better, longer. Our patio cleaning team can follow up cleanings by applying a sealer or mildew retardant designed to prevent mold, mildew and algae from returning for up to three years.
If your home features a paver patio, Atkins offer a unique sealer that rejuvenates the color of your pavers and keeps the sand from washing out between the bricks. Our process keeps the sand in place between pavers, minimizes movement of the bricks, inhibits the growth grass and weeds, and prevents the occurrence of ant colonies. First, our team of exterior cleaning and maintenance professionals thoroughly cleans the patio or walk. We then carefully re-level bricks to create a smooth, safe surface. Next, the Atkins cleaning team carefully adds new sand between the joints. Finally, we apply a special sealer that actually integrates with the sand, and effectively locks the sand in place. Atkins recommends repeating this process every two to three years for best results.
As unprotected concrete ages, it will start to show wear. We offer a few solutions to this problem to increase the look of your walk or patio. There are a couple of different solid stain coatings that we can apply to bring back a great look. Many colors are available, as well as texture to reduce slip hazards. Stamped concrete is another very popular type of walk in our area. These walks and patios need to be maintained regularly, typically about every 3-5 years. To keep them well maintained and preserved, we need to clean them and apply a protective sealer.
